KOWLOON SWING OUTFIT
Headed by David Batchelor, the Kowloon Swing Outfit has been playing for Hong Kong dancers for many years.
Comprised of some of the best Jazz musicians in Hong Kong, their repertoire draws from swing standards that we all know and love. They are sought-after all over Hong Kong playing everywhere from upscale jazz clubs to our more casual dance nights. Your feet won’t be disappointed with their rhythm.
SATURDAY NIGHT
HAPPY GO LUCKY BIG BAND
Founded by band leader Kenny Matsuura in 1991, the HGLBB has been playing jazz clubs and spreading the big band sound around Hong Kong for over 30 years.
They speciliaze in the music of Duke Ellington but have explored the wide range of Big Band All-Stars from Chick Webb to Count Basie and more. They are sure to bring that big SWING sound to HSF.
SUNDAY NIGHT
NATE WONG’S SWING DYNASTY
Nate Wong and his Swing Dynasty will be joining us on Sunday night. Bringing us some swinging tunes that you can’t help but dance to.
They are no strangers with playing for dancers, bringing us some amazing tunes at other Rhythm Studio events. Outside of Swing, Nate hosts regular Jazz Jams around town and manages several other professional projects.
