As a native of Hong Kong with international experience, including studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Nate brings a wealth of talent and expertise to our event.
Nate will be showcasing the incredible jazz talent available in Hong Kong, featuring himself alongside many other remarkable local musicians. His extensive experience performing with Hong Kong’s finest artists, from jazz legends to pop icons, ensures a diverse and exciting lineup.
Having played for numerous local swing dance events, Nate has a keen understanding of what dancers love to hear. His ability to curate music that’s both danceable and entertaining guarantees an unforgettable show. With his background as a performer, collaborator, and music director for various cultural and corporate events, Nate Wong is the perfect choice to lead this celebration of Hong Kong’s vibrant jazz scene.

A a veteran DJ with over three decades of experience, specializing in swing music that keeps dancers on their feet all night long. As the co-founder of Hong Kong Swings, Philippe has been instrumental in cultivating and promoting the swing dance scene in Asia.
With a passion for classic swing tunes, Philippe has become a staple in the international swing dance community. His expertise and infectious energy have made him a sought-after DJ at notable events worldwide.
One of Philippe’s most cherished annual engagements is his role as a staff DJ at the famous Herräng Dance Camp in Sweden. This testament to his skill and reputation in the global swing scene highlights his ability to connect with dancers from all corners of the world through music.
Known for his extensive knowledge of swing music and his ability to read the dance floor, Philippe excels at creating an atmosphere that keeps dancers moving until the early hours. His legendary after-parties have become the stuff of swing dance lore, where the most dedicated dancers gather to swing out to deep cuts and rare gems from his vast collection.
Whether he’s spinning records in his home base of Hong Kong Taiwan or jet-setting to international dance events, Philippe Crompton-Roberts continues to be a driving force in the swing dance world, sharing his love for the music and keeping the spirit of swing alive one song at a time.

With an impressive track record spanning the vibrant swing scenes of Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and beyond, our DJ has become a staple at some of China’s most prestigious swing events. Not just a master of mixing tunes, but also a skilled sound engineer, they’ve lent their expertise to iconic gatherings like the SwingTimeball Beijing and numerous festivals across the country.
