TEACHERS

SWING DANCE MASTERS (WHO ACT LIKE REGULAR PEOPLE)

Our instructors aren’t just casually good at dance—they’re the kind of good that makes other really good dancers say “damn.” They’ve dedicated ridiculous amounts of time to mastering this art form, and somehow still want to hang out in studios teaching beginners the difference between a rock step and a triple step. We call this passionate obsession; psychologists might call it something else.

INTERNATIONALLY VERIFIED SWAGGER

Our teaching team casually collects trophies from the world’s most prestigious swing competitions like some people collect coffee loyalty stamps. Korean Lindyhop Championship? Check. Camp Hollywood? Been there, won that. Savoy Cup? Absolutely. These aren’t just shiny objects for their shelves—they represent our commitment to teaching authentic technique that actually works on any dance floor in the world.

A TEACHING SQUAD THAT HAS YOUR BACK

Beyond our trophy-wielding lead teachers, our assistant team brings equally impressive enthusiasm and expertise to every class. They’ll notice when you’re struggling with that one move everyone else seems to get, and they’ll break it down until suddenly you’re doing it better than they are. (OK, maybe not better, but definitely recognizably.)

When you learn with us, you’re not just getting instructors—you’re getting dance mentors who’ve stood exactly where you’re standing now, who’ve puzzled through the same challenges, and who genuinely get excited watching you improve. They remember your name, your strengths, and that hilarious mistake you made three weeks ago that accidentally became your signature move.

Thomas

Thomas doesn’t just dance to jazz music—he speaks its language fluently. After more than a decade immersed in Lindy Hop’s gravitational pull, he’s developed that rare ability to make swing dancing look simultaneously effortless and impossible.

His teaching superpower? Making technical concepts actually make sense. Students routinely experience “lightbulb moments” in his classes as complex movements suddenly click into place. He balances precision with playfulness, creating an atmosphere where learning happens through discovery rather than drill-sergeant demands.

As an accomplished jazz musician (drums, bass), Thomas brings an insider’s perspective to the dance floor. Watch him dance and you’ll see someone who isn’t just moving to the music—he’s having a sophisticated conversation with it. His musicality isn’t something he learned; it’s woven into his DNA.

“Lindy Hop is like having a 3-minute conversation with your partner without saying a single word.”

Aurore

Since first falling under swing dancing’s spell in 2013, Aurore has transformed from enthusiastic convert to masterful guide. Her dancing embodies that perfect blend of technical precision and unbridled joy that defines authentic Lindy Hop at its best.

What truly sets Aurore apart is her perspective on the learning journey. Rather than viewing dance as a checklist of moves to acquire, she approaches it as an infinite expedition of discovery. This philosophy creates a classroom atmosphere where technical improvement feels less like work and more like adventure.

Under her guidance, beginners quickly develop into confident social dancers who don’t just know steps, but understand how to express themselves through this dynamic art form. Her students don’t just learn to dance—they learn to play with the possibilities that swing dancing offers.

When not teaching, you’ll find Aurore on the social dance floor, still approaching every dance with the same curiosity and enthusiasm that captured her heart a decade ago.

“There are no mistakes in Lindy Hop, only new moves.”

Cécile

Cécile discovered her passion for swing dance through its limitless potential for growth and expression. Early in her journey, she made the distinctive choice to master both leading and following roles—a decision that has given her unique insights into partnership and connection.

Teaching in Hong Kong since February 2025, Cécile shares her comprehensive approach and contagious enthusiasm with dancers at all levels.

“For me, dancing both as a leader and a follower is like seeing the conversation from two different perspectives—each one enriching the other.”

Cherrie

Cherrie has been an enthusiastic and dedicated member of the swing dance community since 2021, transitioning to teaching in February 2025. Her approach to dance centers on the magical, wordless dialogue that emerges between partners.

With a keen focus on developing refined follower techniques, Cherrie emphasizes the harmony that comes from true connection—both with one’s partner and with the music. Her teaching philosophy prioritizes this sense of oneness while building the solid technical foundation necessary for expressive dancing.

“Partner dance transcends words, syncing one to the world and the inner heart.”

Elaine

Elaine’s passion for swing dance began in October 2022, inspired by the captivating vintage movements she discovered in films like ‘The Great Gatsby’ and ‘Operation Mincemeat.’ Her curiosity quickly led her to explore the rich variety of swing era dances—from Solo Jazz and Charleston to Lindy Hop, Blues, and Balboa.

What particularly excites Elaine is the seamless flow between these different dance styles and the deepening appreciation for jazz music that accompanies this journey. As our enthusiastic Administrative Assistant, she brings this same passion to supporting our dance community behind the scenes.

Elaine takes pride in contributing to Hong Kong’s vibrant swing scene and helping to showcase this joyful cultural expression to both local dancers and the wider world. Her organizational skills and genuine love for the dance community make her an invaluable part of our team.
