Cati Gentili (Italy) is a Vernacular Jazz and Lindy Hop dancer and instructor with a strong following in the international swing scene, describing herself as a “lifelong student” who has dedicated herself to the study of dance.
Katie Cobalt (UK) is a multi talented dancers know for her flexible dance teaching partners and finding ways to shine no matter who she is working with. Recognized for her distinctive style and queer persona, she brings unique flair to Swing.
Together, they are excited to bring you some of their ideas on having even more fun with your social dancing.

The foundation of all jazz music and dance, and yet adding rhythm variations can feel challenging sometimes. Let’s learn techniques to add rhythm variations in a simple and relaxed way, both on our own and when partnered.

Great leads know how to respond, and great follows know how to take the initiative: dive into the world of leading and following, exploring what skills from your non-dominant role will improve your social dancing.

SOCIAL
Saturday Night Swing is back to celebrate our 4th birthday! To accompany our weekend workshop with Cati and Katie, we’re bringing together musicians from all over Hong Kong for a live jam session, filling the night with music you won’t be able to resist moving to. A live DJ will fill in the gaps, so you’ll be dancing all night long.
First time joining the party? Don’t worry, we’ve got a beginner taster class at 8:30pm to warm you up and get you ready for an evening of social dancing.
